First you'll need some supplies:
- Orange Construction Paper or Colorful Scrapbook Paper
- Green Pipe Cleaner
- Hole Punch
- Scissors (I used zigzag ones, but normal scissors are good too)
- Ruler/Measuring Tape
1. First cut out twelve pieces of paper each six inches long and an inch wide. (Depending on how big you want your pumpkin to be, you can use more or less paper.) 2. Punch holes at the top and bottom of each piece of paper. You can place one of top of the other as you punch the holes, to line them up evenly. 3. Thread the pipe cleaner through the holes on one side. 4 & 5. Once they are all on, create a twisted loop at the end of the pipe cleaner. 6. Thread the pipe cleaner again through the other holes. 7. Now the paper is connected to the pipe cleaner on both ends. 8. Flip it over to make another twisted loop in the pipe cleaner on top. I also curled the rest with a pencil to make it look like leftover pumpkin stem. 9. Separate the paper strips to create the full pumpkin! 10. Keep adjusting the paper until you get the pumpkin to the look the way you want. You can also add a second curly pipecleaner stem at the top. And, you're done!
Now you can give the pumpkin to your doll as a fun fall decoration!
Kenley loves her pumpkin and can't wait to see what the the rest of Fall brings! :)
If you make a pumpkin for your doll too, I'd love to see! Feel free to send me a picture to [email protected]
