Two of my friends gave me American Girl giftcards last year for Christmas, so I finally used them at the American Girl Store. (Probably the longest I've ever gone without spending a giftcard, hooray!) I couldn't stop looking at the Cool Coral Outfit, so I got that and also picked up the Tortoise Sunglasses since you all know how much I love doll sunglasses!
I liked the outfit on the website, but it is so much prettier and vibrant in person!! The AG stock photo makes the shirt look more faded orange, it is really tricky to show the exact colors in pictures. The true shade is dark coral pink and light teal. There is a lot going on with this outfit--silvery studs, zebra print, glitter, coral & teal, but somehow everything works!
American Girl has started to put a little metal tag on all of their Truly Me Outfits, I think this is a cool detail.
The leggings have a distressed blue glitter print which makes it slightly fancier than normal leggings.
I LOVE the shoes! They are so sparkly but with a plastic finish on top, so no sparkles can get anywhere. I like how the coral on the heel matches the outfit.
Grace's brunette hair and blue eyes look amazing with these colors!
Now onto the sunglasses! These have quickly become one of my favorite doll accessories. They have a vintage vibe and are oh-so-cute! Grace looks like a little fashionista wearing them! :)
Also while trying on the outfit, I realized that the teal in the leggings matches Grace's Paris tee perfectly. I love this outfit combo!
I definitely recommend the Cool Coral Outfit and Tortoise Sunglasses, I love them! My doll's can't wait to wear them more this Fall/Winter.
