I'm a total cat lady; cats are my favorite animal! I wanted to get a bit more creative with my doll's pumpkins this year and this sweet kitty pumpkin makes me smile. Here's how you can make one too!
First you need some supplies:
- A Mini Pumpkin
- Black Paper
- Scrapbook Paper
- Black Cord or String
- Two Black Stick-On Rhinestones
- Scissors
- Glue
- And, the Kitty Ears Pattern
Before we get into the craft here's the Kitty Ears Pattern. You can print it out by clicking on the picture or link below. (Be sure to download and print at “Actual Size” from a PDF reader like Adobe Reader. If you save & print directly from your browser, it might not print at the right size.)
To make the Kitty Pumpkin, first trace the pattern onto the paper and cut out. Cut a small triangle from the black paper to be the kitty nose. Cut the black cord into six pieces about two inches long. Then, it's time to glue and place all the materials on the pumpkin!
Doesn't it look so cute?! I used a real mini pumpkin, but if you can find a mini pretend pumpkin your doll can keep it for next year. I love how the pumpkin turned out and it will definitely brighten my doll's doorstep.
Samantha loves it too! ;)
I hope you have fun making one for your doll! If you do, I'd LOVE to see! Feel free to send me a picture to, [email protected]
Happy Fall Crafting! :)
PS~You may have noticed a few changes today. I have decided to now use my first name here which is, Jessica! You can still call me by my nickname Liz if you'd like, I answer to both. :) Love you all so much, I appreciate you everyday!!
