I'd like to introduce you to a shop I love, Tea Time Fabric Panels! They make and sell sewing kits with the doll clothing pattern already printed on beautiful fabric. Sewing doll clothes is easy with their fabric panels, even for beginners. Each of their panels comes as a "kit" with a booklet of illustrated sewing instructions. These booklets also give you pattern adjustments for several other popular 18" dolls to ensure a good fit. All you need to do is follow the instructions, cut, and sew!

Here's a bit more about Lynn and Patricia, the creators of Tea Time Fabric Panels:
Tea Time Fabric Panels was started by Patricia Rosa and Lynn Rayve. Both Pat and Lynn graduated from The Fashion Institute of Technology and majored in fashion design. Their friendship began while working at The Simplicity Pattern Company, where Lynn wrote sewing instructions for the home sewing patterns and Patricia illustrated them.
Patricia’s career has led her to design sportswear, sweaters, crafts and quilts. Her love of fabric prints inspired her to continue her education at New York School of Design for textile design. She uses her creativity to design prints for quilting and now for dolls.
Lynn has designed children's clothing and doll costumes throughout her career. She is an expert on patterns and fit, having created private label girl's clothing designs for Macy's, Target, J.C.Penny's as well as for Sear's catalog for many years. Costuming for one-of-a-kind doll artists, and designing for The Alexander Doll Company (Madame Alexander Dolls) were particular favorites, as was designing fabric panels for Marcus Bros. Fabrics.
Tea Time Fabric Panels was born from a desire to start a business that would allow them an artistic outlet that incorporated all of their skills, talents and experience. This company has allowed Patricia and Lynn to create beautiful, professional doll clothes panels with outfits that are designed to fit 18" American Girl Dolls.
