I have loved dolls my whole life! Even before I knew about American Girl I had lots of different dolls. One of those dolls were Cabbage Patch Kids. They were my favorite dolls when I was younger and I would always get them as gifts for my birthday or Christmas. So, when my friends at Wicked Cool Toys contacted me to do a review on their new Cabbage Patch Kid line, I just had to say yes! Wicked Cool Toys, who also developed My Girl's Doll House, is thrilled for girls to create lifelong memories with these new dolls, as well as their parents and avid collectors who have cherished their own Cabbage Patch Kids.
I have so many of those memories! Here's little me at age 4 with my first Cabbage Patch doll. She was very, very loved!
The new Cabbage Patch Kids still have the same cute faces, it was great seeing one up close again!
On the back of the box shows some of the new Kids collection. There are eight different fashion themes and a variety of dolls to choose from: the Preppy Girl, Rocker Girl, Adventure Girl, Glitz Girl, Trendy Girl, Glam Girl, Vintage Girl, and the Adventure Boy. These Cabbage Patch Kids feature a bracelet with a heart shaped charm that interacts with the Kids' newest best friends--the adorable Adoptimal Pets!
Cabbage Patch Kids were discovered and founded by Xavier Roberts back in 1978. Here's a story on the box that tells how they came to be!
The Cabbage Patch Kid and Adoptimal I was sent are adorable!!
Here she is out of the box. Her dress is so trendy and well made. And, I love her green eyes and blonde hair. She is 14 inches tall, but she can't stand on her own unless you lean her against something since she is soft and huggable. :)
Her hair is nice and long too with a slight curl to it.
Our Adoptimal Pet poodle is so adorable and a great friend for the Cabbage Patch Kid. A food bowl and hairbrush is also included with every pet.
Just like the first Cabbage Patch Kids, they each come with a birth certificate with a name and adoption papers. The pet comes with a certificate of ownership, but no name--you can name it yourself! :)
My Cabbage Patch Kid's name is Jaye Kaya.
On the back you can fill out the adoption paper along with the oath of adoption.
Another look at Jaye's sweet face. You can find these Cabbage Patch Kids at Toys "R" Us, Walmart, Target, Kmart, Rural King, and Amazon.
Cabbage Patch Kids will always be a favorite of mine! I feel like they were what began my love for all dolls and eventually, American Girl!
