Grace can't wait to get baking wearing her new apron! I've been wanting to use up this leftover heart fabric and I love how it turned out. The best part is the it's no-sew! Want to make one too? Let's get started!
First you'll need some supplies:
- Fabric
- Scissors
- Glue Gun
- Ribbon
- Ruler/Measuring Tape
- Pen or Pencil
1. Cut your fabric 8 inches long and 6 and half inches wide. 2. Fold the fabric in half the long way with the right side of the fabric facing down. 3. With your pen or pencil mark a dot of two inches across the fabric and two inches long. 4. Use the straight edge of a ruler to connect the dots, making a diagonal line. 5. Cut on the line with your scissors. 6. Open the fabric back up and you now have the shape of the apron! 7. Cut two pieces of ribbon, both 20-24 inches long depending on how much excess ribbon you want when you tie them around your doll. I like mine to be a little tighter, so I used 20 inches. Use the glue gun to attach the ribbon to the sides of the apron. I measured 8 inches down the ribbon to the bottom side corner. 8. Glue a piece of ribbon to the top of the apron. 9. You can glue ribbon to the back of the apron to make it sturdier. 10. Decorate with a bow or other embellishment if you wish, and you're done! :)
Now your doll has a pretty apron for cooking or baking!
The apron is also perfect for Valentine's Day coming up! ;)
I hope you have fun making an apron for your doll! If you try it out, I'd love to see. Feel free to send me a picture to [email protected]
Happy Crafting! :)
