Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays! I love all of the pink & red decorations, adorable treats, and sweet accessories. Recently at a store I saw cute headbands for girls with wiggly antennae hearts on them. I thought it would be fun to create my own "Love Bug" headband for my dolls!
All you need to make this craft is four pipe cleaners and scissors (a ruler or tape measure would come in handy too, or you can eyeball the measurements like I do!) I used three sparkly red and one silver since I had that on hand, but you can use any color you'd like.
1. Start by twisting two different color pipe cleaners together to form a headband shape. I cut off an inch from each side to make them shorter. 2 & 3. Take another pipe cleaner and bend to form a heart shape. I made mine about one inch from top to bottom. Twist to secure, then set aside to make a second one. 4. Now you're ready to attach the heart antennae to the headband. If your pipe cleaners are still pretty long at the bottom you can cut them to make it easier to twist, mine were about four inches. 5. Twist each end onto the headband, leaving an inch or so between. 6. And, you're done!!
To put the headband on your doll, use two bobbypins or mini clips on the side to hold in place. Samantha looks so pretty wearing it! These are perfect for a doll Valentine's Day party! :)
If you make one for your doll, I'd LOVE to see! Feel free to send me a picture to [email protected]
Happy Crafting! :)
