Going to a Girl of the Year debut at an American Girl store is something I've dreamed of happening one day, but I never imagined going on the 1st of the year! My family decided to take a quick trip to Columbus, Ohio yesterday and I still can't quite believe it! The excitement in the store was amazing and I loved seeing Lea's collection in person.
Lea is GORGEOUS! On the website, she reminded me of my doll Rebecca but up close she is so unique. Her hazel eyes are lighter, eyebrows a different shape, and her sun-kissed skin is darker than other dolls. I absolutely love everything about her, from her story to her bright clothes! I am very happy that she is a photographer too and has her own camera.
Lea's Rainforest House is so detailed, from the butterflies around the house to the outdoor Brazilian grill. As always, I love how American Girl has all the pieces out in the open and able for girls to see and touch. There was a large crowd around the house the whole time I was there!
On the side of the house it even has a shower. There is cute swinging hammock that was hung next to the shower, but it can be placed on the opposite side of the house too.
The rainforest plush animals were flying off the shelves, so great idea AG! They were all super cute and soft, here is the Margay Cat outside the house scene.
The three-toed sloth has velcro on its paws so it can hang from things! It has a sweet face too.
And, the sea turtle is adorable! I like how they placed it in this scene with the kayak.
The snorkel in the swim accessories is so cute!
Lea looks pretty in all of her outfits! It's nice how everything can mix and match together.
I love her Rainforest Dreams Pajamas! The green really makes her eye color pop. I think the pjs could be worn as a regular romper style outfit too.
Lea wearing her Hiking Outfit & Accessories! My favorite part is that she can hold the binoculars. :)
The fruit stand is awesome!! I'm glad that her Bahia Outfit has shorts too. American Girl dolls need more shorts and these look great.
There is a lot of detail in this set, the back of the stand has plenty of room for your doll to make fruit smoothies for customers. :)
Me with Lea! The small hut roof looked like Lea's Rainforest House.
I totally recommend everything of hers, there was not a thing I didn't like! I loved her so much...I had to take her home with me!!! I can't wait to share more pictures of her soon. Hope you enjoyed the tour of Lea's collection!
Let me know your thoughts on Lea's items, I'd love to hear from you! :)
