I'm definitely a cat lady! Right now I have one cat named Macy, but I've had a lot of cats, each one funnier than the last. One of the reasons I love them so much is that they make me laugh and are always unpredictable. They're also super cute and cuddly...just like this pillow!
A couple weeks ago I saw an Our Generation Doll Bed and I couldn't believe it had a cat pillow on it! I knew right away I had to make one for my dolls. This craft is very easy (no-sew!) and I love how it turned out.
The supplies you need are:
- Light Gray Felt
- Dark Gray Felt
- Light Pink Felt
- Dark Yellow Felt
- Black Felt (**Savings Tip--I found all the felt at Walmart and the color choices were great!)
- Polyfill Stuffing or Cotton Balls
- Black Marker
- Scissors
- Ruler
- Hot Glue Gun
1. Start by cutting out two squares of light gray felt, each side 4 inches long. 2. Glue the two squares together by applying hot glue to the three edges, leaving one side open. 3. Stuff with polyfill or cotton balls and then glue. 4. Now you've made your pillow! 5. Cut out felt pieces to make the cat face: ears, stripes, whiskers, eyes, nose, and bow-tie. 6 & 7. Glue each piece onto the pillow. With your marker draw on the mouth. 8. Finally add the bow-tie and make little freckles with the marker. And, you're done!!
Now your doll has a sweet cat pillow for her bed!
Looks like a happy kitty! I can't help but smile when I look at it. Saige loves it too!
