Doll Craft: How To Make A Pineapple Purse (With Free Pattern)!

Pineapples are on everything lately, they are so cute and summery! I've seen these pineapple purses in girl-sized versions and wanted to create one for my dolls to wear. I have a free printable pattern you can use to make one too! 

The supplies you need are:

• Yellow Craft Foam
• Green Craft Foam
• Scissors
• Glue
• Ruler (optional)
• Pineapple Doll Purse Pattern

Print Pineapple Doll Purse Pattern

1. Start by cutting out the patterns and tracing them around the craft foam. You'll need two of the pineapple shapes and both of the leaf shapes. Cut out another strip of foam six and half inches long and an inch wide. 2. Put a little glue around the edges of one of the pineapple shapes, then place the one edge of the foam strip on the glue. 3. & 4. Continue gluing until the strip is around the edges as shown. 5. Put glue around the remaining edges and glue on the other pineapple shape. Now it's starting to look more like a purse! 6. Glue the leaf shapes together. (I flipped over the larger shape, so the leaves were facing opposite directions as I overlapped them. It looks really cool!) 7. Glue the leaves inside the front of the purse. Then cut out another strip of foam twelve inches or more to be the strap. You can make it however long you want it to be, either for a shoulder purse or messenger bag. 8. Glue the strap on the inside corners. 9. Decorate the front by gluing on strips of foam diagonally. I used four strips going one way and three the other way. You could also use a marker to make the lines. And, you're done!!

Now your doll has a fun accessory to dress up her outfit!

I love how it turned out! It also matches Lea's tropical theme perfectly. :)

My Favorite Doll Things: Week 50!
