I'm so excited to introduce you to the newest member of my doll family, Willa! (who will also be known as Willow, because I like that name too!). I loved all of the American Girl WellieWishers, but she caught my eye the most with her sweet expression.
She arrived earlier today and here's the box she came in. I love the flowers and whimsical logo! Also on the box it says these dolls are aimed for the age 5+ age range.
Her hair was little crazy at first, but she was secured tightly in the box with the wellies covered. The top of the headband was also attached to the top with a little plastic tag.
Out of the box and free! She is absolutely adorable!!!
After playing around with her pretty curls, it was time for some outdoor photos. Here's a comparison of Willa, Saige, and my Bitty Baby Daisy.
As you can see there is a big difference between Saige and Willa! Willa is 14.5 inches tall and completely plastic, while Saige has a soft cloth body. The WellieWishers eyes also do not open and close like American Girl dolls do.
Her facial expression is my favorite, she looks like she has such a playful personality! Her outfit is very well made and comes with a shirt with a hedgehog on it, skirt with hedgehog print, matching headband, and ladybug wellies.
How cute are these wellies?!
The plastic is hard and durable, these dolls look like they can withstand lots of lots of play.
Without the traditional sleep-eyes, there's more photo opportunities, like looking up at the clouds. She is super photogenic and her shiny eyes really show great in photos!
It might be awhile until I take out her little pigtails, but I'm looking forward to seeing what she'll look like with her hair down. :)
The WellieWishers dolls are different from American Girl dolls, but the quality and cuteness remains the same. I can't wait to see what adventures Willa/Willow will have around here!
I'm happy to add her to my collection and will be sharing lots more of her soon!!
