When you want to keep your doll's hair down, but also want to do something to it, this is the hairstyle for you! Last year I did a post on how to do a Waterfall Twist. It is a lot easier than it looks and turns out beautifully. I tried it again on Grace, but this time I made an extra layer of twists beneath the first one. Keep on reading, I'll show you how to do it too!
1. The first waterfall twist is done in the exact same way as the second layer, so you can follow these instructions to do the whole hairstyle OR you can see my other tutorial by, clicking here.
2. After you make the first layer, take a small section near your doll's ear. Separate into two even sections. 3. Cross the right section over the left section. 4. Now take the piece of hair that has dropped from the first waterfall twist (to make the first layer you would grab a piece of hair from the top of your doll's head instead). 5. Put this piece in the middle of your right and left sections. 6. Bring the right section over your other piece.
7. Drop the other piece of hair and don't do anything else with it. You should still be keeping hold of your right and left sections. Then, cross the right section over the left section again. This creates the "twist". Repeat what you did before, grabbing the "dropped" pieces of hair. Continue with this method, going across your doll's head to create a waterfall look. 8. When you reach the other side of your doll's head, secure the hair with a clear elastic hairtie. If you can, leave some hair out of the hairtie. 9. Bring the rest of the hair over the elastic and bobbypin in place to cover it. 10. And, you're done! Great job!
Now your doll has a new hairstyle for Summer!
Grace looks amazing with it!
