New American Girl Release June 2016!

The day is finally here! American Girl has all-new items including the WellieWishers collection, Truly Me outfits, lots of accessories, items for girls, new books, and a few outfits for Bitty Baby. I am in love with the WellieWishers, their collection is so well done! 

The girls names are Camille, Emerson, Willa, Kendall, and Ashlyn. I can't decide which is my favorite, I love them all!! Which one do you like?

I can't get over how adorable the Flutter Wings Doll Carrier is!! A few more of my favorites are...

Make-It-Great Play Set--Being the crafter I am, I love that they made this!! Definitely on my wishlist.

Nature Explorer Set--I like the canteen pattern and the binoculars are awesome!

Ocean Treasures Set--Mermaid tails like these are super popular right now and I love how AG got in on the trend.

Carrot & Hutch--The fact the bunny's name is Carrot is hilarious and fun!! The hutch is great too, a unique set.

Peek-A-Boo Wellies & Socks For Girls--This concept of a clear boot with the socks is really interesting! :)

Garden Pajamas, Showtime Ballet Costume, and Daisy Princess Costume (my mind read Disney at first--anyone else? haha!)--They are all pretty! 

Garden Theater Stage--I can't wait to see other girl's photos of this. What a great set!

WellieWishers' Playhouse--How amazing is this?! I love the color scheme and the inside of it looks like fun waiting to happen. On the WellieWishers' page it said they are going to have an animated series in the Fall. I can't wait to see what items they'll show in it! 

Moving onto the new Truly Me items. American Girl came out with a whole Mix-and-Match collection where you can buy each piece separately to create your own outfits. AG shows complete outfits to give you ideas on how you can pair them together. I'm happy they're doing this!

Everything is fashion forward--I especially like the Hooded Demim Jacket, Side-Cinch Tank, Indigo & Dot Leggings, Pretty Plaid Shirt and...all of it. ;)

Brownie Ombre Glasses & Glitter Glasses--When I saw these I gasped, I've been wanting AG to create new glasses for dolls. These are gorgeous! (Still waiting for thick black frames though!!)

Adventure Pop-Up Camper & Tent--The camper is something we haven't seen before from AG, very cool! 
 

 

Adventure Campfire Set--Would be great for photos!

The Elegant Earring Set, 3-in-1 Ring Set, and Butterfly & Gem Bracelet Set--I'm glad they are making new accessories. The gemstone ring is fabulous!

Skeleton Outfit--This is awesome!! I want those gloves! haha

Ombre Ballet Outfit--BEAUTIFUL! I like the decorative flower detail.

 

The Pomeranian Pajamas and Cute & Comfy Lounge Set--I've always been a fan of pajamas from AG and these are no exception! :)

Confetti Cutie Dress & Bitty Kitty PJs--Those slippers!! My Bitty Baby would like to have those. The dress is also adorable and perfect for Summer. :)

Guest Post: American Girl Doll Swimsuit Review!

I'm super excited to share a guest post written by my friend, Maddie! Without further ado, here she is...

Hello doll lovers! Today I will be providing you a swimsuit doll review!! I wanted something quick and easy for my upcoming beach vacation. I purchased these from an Ebay seller named Dori's Doll Boutique. Their prices are very low with super fast not expensive shipping! Now, let's get on with the review! :D

Swimsuit #1 is the 3pc Blue Hawaiian Hula Swimsuit Set. It retails for $7.96 and comes with one hula skirt, one bikini top, and one bikini bottom.

The bikini it self is very good quality. It is made out of a thick swimsuit material and the hula skirt is made out of the same kind of roping you would find on a lanyard. Snaps make it easy to take on and off! The inside of the bikini may look a little messy, but it's really just surged on the inside! :)

The bikini bottom does look small in packaging, but it fits fine. Although, my only con about them is that they sit a little low on the behind, as you can see in this image.

Saige loved modeling this swimsuit on the beach! Watching the sun set was her favorite part! :)

And now Swimsuit #2!!! This suit is called Black with Polka Dots swimsuit w/ a beach ball. This one also is retailed for $7.96 and comes with one swimsuit, and one beach ball.

The swimsuit is a thinner material than the blue swimsuit...But still very good quality. The Ruffles are super cute and add some flair!

If you look closely, around the neckline (there is also a bit on the back of the suit as you can see in the picture) there is a little bit of what looks like frayed fabric showing, but no worries! It will not fray and ruin the suit. It's just the excess fabric flipping upwards. You can just iron it down and it would be fine!

I absolutely LOVE the back of the suit! It is lower cut. It fits the dolls perfectly. Although, since it is lower cut if your doll has neck strings, they will show. I did not include a picture of the beach ball, just because it is nothing too special. It is perfectly sized though!!!

Overall I rate this suit 4.5 out of 5 stars! Con: the excess fabric shows and can make it look messy even though it is a perfectly sewn swimsuit. :) Saige loved showing off her new swimsuit on the beach!

I hope you guys enjoyed this review! Overall I would recommend any of these swimsuits to anyone who doesn't want to spend a lot of money on an American Girl brand suit and who wants something cute and low priced! I hope you check out Dori's Doll Boutique! They have a large variety of doll clothes and accessories! I will definitely purchase from them again. Ciao for now!

Doll Food Craft: How To Make An Ice Cream Cone!

 

One of the best treats to enjoy on these hot Summer days is, Ice Cream! Yum! Want to make an ice cream cone for your doll? I have a super easy way to do it and made a free pattern for you to use too. Let's get started...

The supplies you'll need are:

• Duck Tape (The Burlap Kind)
• White Paper
• White Or Brown Pom-Poms 
• Glue/Hot Glue Gun
• Scissors
• Tape (Optional)
• Ice Cream Cone Pattern

 

Print Ice Cream Cone Pattern.

Click the link or picture above to print it out. (Be sure to download and print at “Actual Size” from a PDF reader like Adobe Reader. If you save & print directly from your browser, it might not print at the right size.)

1. Start by putting two pieces of Duck Tape on your white paper. 2 & 3. After that's done, take your cone pattern and place it flat on the duck-taped paper. 4. With scissors cut around the pattern. 5. Now you have your ice cream cone! Roll it to create the shape of the cone and secure with scissors or glue. 6. Glue the poms poms together to create the ice cream, then glue on top of the cone. And, you're done!!

Now your doll can enjoy her sweet ice cream cone! Make lots of flavors with different color pom poms.
