American Girl's Wellie Wishers now have an App! They released it last week and I think it's awesome AG is making more Apps now. I downloaded it a couple days ago to check it out!
The App has three mini games you can play: Garden Harmony, Mud Pie Maker, and Carrot Care. In Garden Harmony, the Wellie Wishers are on stage and you choose what order they stand and what instrument they play.
In Mud Pie Maker, you can make and decorate the mud pie however you want. After you're done you click the icon in the bottom right hand corner, which give you the choice of which of the Wellie Wishers you want to give the pie to.
In Carrot Care, you can take care of Carrot by brushing him, playing ball, or feeding him carrots. He's a happy little bunny!
On the home screen you can also click on all the Wellie Wishers and read more about them.
Reading the other reviews on the App store, some have mentioned that the game has no sound. I've found that it does have sound, but it has only worked when I use my earphones. I'm not sure if this is a glitch, or they are just being courteous about not having the sound be loud if you're at a public place? The music is catchy and I love it! The country tune fits the nature theme of the characters well. If you tap on the screen's homepage near the top, the sound option should fall down in the form of a sign. You can also watch the Wellie Wishers video that is seen on the American Girl website.
Overall, the App is very cute and well made. It's aimed for ages 6-8 and I think the creative little mini games would keep them entertained for awhile. I thought it was fun to explore, but what I LOVE the most is the art! Just look at how adorable Kendall is with that pie!!!
You can download the game for free on the App store (just search Wellie Wishers). It's compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch with IOS 6.0 or higher.
