The Summer Olympics in Rio is almost here and I am so excited!!! I love watching all of the sports events and cheering on the U.S.A. teams. My dolls wanted to join in the fun too, so I made some gold medals for them to wear. Want to make some too? I'll show you how!
The supplies you need are:
- Water Bottle Cap
- Gold Metallic Paint
- Paintbrush
- Scissors
- Gold Glitter
- Elmer's Glue
- Glue Gun
- Scissors
- Ribbon
- Craft Foam
1. Start by painting the water bottle cap gold. 2. As you're waiting for that to dry, print out the star pattern below. Cut out the star and place on the craft foam, using your scissors to cut around it. 3. Put Elmer's glue on the foam and sprinkle glitter over it. 4. Make sure everything is dry before hot gluing the star onto the cap. 5. Cut a piece of ribbon around 14-15 inches long, then hot glue ribbon ends to the top of the cap. And, you're done!!
Click the link or picture above to print it out. (Be sure to download and print at “Actual Size” from a PDF reader like Adobe Reader. If you save & print directly from your browser, it might not print at the right size.)
Now you can put the medal on your doll as the crowd cheers!
Saige and Cecile are so happy they won! ;)
Your dolls could have their own Olympics or you can make them for any sports event. The play possibilities are endless. But, don't forget to have your doll wave during the ceremony!
If you make your doll a gold medal too, I'd love to see it!! You can send me a picture to [email protected] or tag me on Instagram @creativedollcrafts
Happy Crafting!
