I love cats and dolls...put them together and it's the purr-fect costume! The cat ear hair clips are the real star of the show here and today I'm going to share how you can make them too. Let's get started!
The supplies you need are:
- Black Felt
- Glittery Foam Sheet
- Plain Hair Clips (I used 1 3/4 inch alligator clips.)
- Scissors
- Ribbon
- Hot Glue Gun
1. Cut two triangles from the felt and foam. The felt ones should be one and a half inches tall and wide. And, the foam ones should be a one inch tall and wide. 2. Glue the foam pieces onto the felt. 3. Line clips with ribbon if you'd like (see directions below) and then glue the ears on the side of the clips. 4. Let dry and you're done!!
Lining a clip with ribbon is simple to do--1. Put hot glue on the ribbon, open the clip and slide the ribbon inside the clip. 2. Glue the ribbon on top of the clip. 3. Glue over the sides. 4. And, halfway on the other side of the clip. Ta-da!
Now you can clip them in your doll's hair! For the nose and whiskers I used felt. Glue dots or tape work well to hold them in place too. So cute!
Lea isn't ready for winter yet, but she wanted to be a "cool" cat! ;)
