Last week I got out my sewing machine and made this dress for Clara, using a kit from the Tea Time Fabric Panels shop! Isn't it cute?! I love the 18 inch doll sewing kits they make. These kits are unique because the pattern is printed directly on beautiful cotton fabric. Sewing doll clothes is easy with their fabric panels, even for beginners!

The kit I used was purple instead of pink, but they both include the same things: fabric panel, ribbon, batting, and an instruction booklet.

And, here's the other side. I had to give it a press with the iron and then I cut around the fabric.
All of the pieces for the nightie, which can also double as a sundress. I'll be making the quilt later on and I'll show you in another post when I do! :)
After following the instruction booklet, the nightie was complete! The booklet has diagrams which is very helpful for the beginner sewer (i.e., ME! haha). For the second thing I've sewed with a sewing machine, I think it turned out great!!
