Our Generation Doll Pet Turtle Set Review!

Lea is so happy with her new pet turtle! My Target had the new Our Generation pet sets for 18 inch dolls and they are all adorable. Along with the turtle there is a pet bird, ferret, guinea pig, kitten, and bunny. They are $6.99--an amazing deal!

Here's what the set looks like in box. The turtle is a soft plush and the perfect size for dolls!! It also comes with a hard plastic dish and turtle food.

I seriously can't stand the cuteness...oh my goodness!!!

I think someone is hungry! The food is very realistic and detailed. It can't be opened, but the clump of food inside moves when you shake it.

This is the cutest set I've ever seen from Our Generation...now I want the other ones! If you find this set at Target, I totally recommend that you get it. Your doll will love her new pet. :)

Doll Craft: How To Make A Fish Bowl!

Has your doll ever wanted her own pet fish? You can craft one! This was so much fun to make and I have some free printables for you too. Let's get started!!

The supplies you need are:

• Plastic Button Container 
• Scissors
• Invisible Tape
• Plastic Pellets
• Plastic Flower Stems 
• Doll Fish Bowl Printables

1. First you'll need a plastic button container. It is the perfect size! You can find these at Joann Fabrics or other craft stores. Take off the cap and empty out all the buttons. 2. Put the plastic pellets inside the bowl. (These are orginally used for handmade stuffed animals or dolls. Be careful with these as they can spill everywhere.) 3. Cut out the fish bowl background. Curve it slightly as you put it inside the bowl. You can add some tape to the back to hold it in place. 4. Finally put the two little plastic flower stems in the bowl. These were from some extra silk flowers I had around. Then cut out a fish from the printable. You can decide which direction its swimming. :) Use the invisible tape to secure it to the front. And, you're done!!

Doll Craft: How To Make A Pet Bed!

Every doll's pet needs a bed and it's even better if it's stylish! I loved making some beds for Licorice and Meatloaf. Here's a simple way to make a bed for your doll's dog or cat too!

First you'll need some supplies:

• Craft Foam
• Fabric/Felt
• Scissors
• Glue & Glue Gun
• Measuring Tape/Ruler
• Polyfill/Cotton

This is a great craft to re-use leftover foam or fabric scraps!

1. Since each doll pet is different, you can put the pet on the craft foam to see how big you should make the bed. But I made one rectangle 6 inches long and 5 and half inches wide. One strip of foam 6 inches long and an inch wide. And, two strips 5 and a half inches long and an inch wide. You can also cut out another rectangle and stack them to make a thicker bed base. 2 & 3. Put glue on the edges of the rectangle. Place the smaller foam strips on the sides and the longer strip at the back. 3. Now you've made the bed! 4. To make the fluffy bed cushion, cut out two rectangles of fabric, each 6 inches long and 5 and half inches wide.  6. Flip the fabric over and put some polyfill or cotton in the middle. 7. Put the other piece of fabric on top and begin gluing the edges together 8. Just put the cushion on the bed and you're done!

You can either glue the cushion onto the bed and fold the fabric over the opening, or leave it unattached so you can switch out cushions. I love how you can make these beds with so many different colors and fabrics! 

Licorice is ready to take a cat nap in her colorful new bed!
