Ready for a game of Tic-Tac-Toe, garden party style? I loved creating the game board and pieces inspired by the WellieWishers Garden Party Table. This is very easy to make and I have a free flower pattern you can use too. Let's get crafting!
The supplies you need for the game pieces are:
- 10 Small Rocks (I bought a pack of them at Michael's craft store)
- Paintbrushes
- Red Paint
- Black Paint
- Yellow Paint
(Paint colors are CraftSmart: Red Metallic, Black, and Bright Yellow)
And, the supplies for the game board:
- Cardboard (and scissors to cut it)
- Paintbrushes
- Green Paint
- Pink Paint
- Yellow Paint
- Flower Pattern (you can print it below)
(Paint colors are: Apple Tart, Pink Blast, and Candy Pink by Apple Barrel.)
Click the link or picture above to print it out. (Be sure to download and print at “Actual Size” from a PDF reader like Adobe Reader. If you save & print directly from your browser, it might not print at the right size.)
Now it's time to paint! I made 5 ladybug rocks and 5 bees. To make it easier to cover the whole rock without any streaks, I poured paint on a plate and dipped them in the paint. It was a bit messy, but turned out really good! After they are dry, paint on the black stripes and dots. For the flower board, put the pattern on cardboard and cut around. If you have an X-Acto knife it helps to trace around with it first before cutting with scissors, but just scissors works too. After it is cut out, paint the flower pink. Let dry and then make the tic tac toe lines with green. Paint on leaves and flowers if you'd like. And, you're done!! :)
Now your dolls can play it! Willa and Samantha are having a fun time. :)
Willa got three ladybugs in a row! High five, Willa!
I love how the game is doll-sized, but you can also play it yourself too! :)
If you make a tic-tac-toe game for your doll, I'd to see!! You can send me a picture to [email protected] or tag me on Instagram @creativedollcrafts
Happy Crafting! :)
